Shiplake College occupies a 45 acre site sitting above the River Thames just 2 ½ miles from Henley. The buildings are centred on Shiplake Court, built in 1889 for the Harrison family. Having begun life as a fine Victorian family home, Shiplake Court now houses the Great Hall, Morning Room, kitchens, the Medical Wing and Skipwith House. In addition there are five other houses; Burr, Welsh, Orchard, Everett and College and the girls' house, Gilson. Other facilities include the Sports Hall and Fitness Suite, heated swimming pool, dedicated Learning Development Unit, Tithe Barn Theatre, Science Block, New Multimedia Suite and boathouses on site with direct access from main lawn.
