Gilson House
All girls at Shiplake join Gilson House, a dedicated girls' boarding house which opened in September 2009 and which has purpose-built accommodation for day and boarding pupils. The house is run by Miss Suzy Andrew who is supported by Miss Carin Erasmus, Mrs Lesley Kirkup (Matron) and a team of visiting tutors.
Evening and weekend activities include an invitation to a Housemistress’ tea, regular outings to the cinema and bowling followed by a pizza meal or similar. Girls’ movie night is very popular!
