Everett House

Mr Lawson holds ultimate responsibility for the well-being of all the boys in Everett House. He lives in the house adjoining the boarding house with his family, wife Carolyn, children Matthew (4) and Sophie (2) and their two dogs Tara and Lucky. Mr Lawson has been teaching Biology at Shiplake since 1996 and before that he was a research scientist at The National Oceanography Centre in Southampton, specialising in Deep-Sea Ecology. He coaches rugby, and helps out with the CCF and DofE. Previous roles at Shiplake have included Head of Biology, Contingent Commander, Examinations Officer and Assistant Housemaster of Skipwith and Orchard House.

In his spare time he enjoys playing rugby and snowboarding. Grant was educated at Pershore High School, Swansea University and then Southampton University.
