Lower SchoolBoys in Year 7 and Year 8 are members of the Lower School. Tom Caston became the first Head of Lower School in September 2009 with the arrival of the first 11+ intake. Formerly he was Housemaster of Orchard Years 9 and 1o. Tom coaches cricket and rugby. His interests include anything Geography related, cricket, rugby, learning Spanish and cooking. He was interviewed for “Teacher’s TV” and was on fourteen times in two days! He is always happy when his teams beat arch-rivals Pangbourne College. Tom is married to Consuela (who works in London). The Lower School has a computer room, football table, reading room and day studies. In addition to Tom, Mrs Hema Gillings and Mrs Amy Bingham are tutors and Mrs Lesley Kirkup is the Matron. Brendan Chapman is the assigned Gap tutor. He is Captain of the Zimbabwe under-20 rugby team and will be leading the team on tour in Fiji for the under-21 World Cup next year.
